About 2FAS
2FAS generates TOTP codes on Android and iOS with encrypted backups to your own cloud account, and its browser extension asks the phone to approve a code so you never type one during desktop sign-ins. It has been independently audited.
Strengths
- Browser extension approves codes on the phone instead of typing them
- Encrypted backups to your own iCloud or Google Drive account
Limitations
- Mobile-first; there is no standalone desktop app
- Push approval needs the browser extension installed on each machine
