About Be My Eyes
Be My Eyes is a phone app for blind and low-vision people who want help with something they cannot see. The user points the camera at a label, a screen or their surroundings. A sighted volunteer can then describe what the camera shows over live video, or an AI tool can describe it instead.
Calls are free and unlimited, and help is available at any hour. Volunteers only hear the user's voice and see what the camera shares. Companies also take part through the service. Camera content is sent to volunteers or AI services, so it is not suited to sensitive material.
