About BloodHound Community Edition
BloodHound collects directory relationship data and renders it as a graph, revealing the privilege escalation paths that exist between users, groups, computers and permissions. Defenders use it to find and close those paths before an attacker walks them.
Strengths
- Turns abstract directory permissions into concrete, visible attack paths
- Used by defenders to close paths as much as by testers to find them
Limitations
- Collection requires directory access and should be run only with authorisation
- The graph database stack takes real setup effort
