About Briar
Briar syncs messages directly between devices over Bluetooth, local Wi-Fi or Tor, with no central server, so conversations continue even when the internet is cut off. Messages are end-to-end encrypted and stored encrypted on the device. The project currently receives essential security updates and bug fixes rather than new features.
