About c3nav
c3nav is the map and indoor navigation system built for the Chaos Communication Congress and available on the c3nav website. This Android app wraps that website and adds native features, most notably working out your current position from nearby WiFi signals so routes can start from where you stand.
The app also makes navigation easier on a phone and lets you share locations with others. It suits Congress visitors who want to find halls, rooms and assemblies in a large, crowded venue.
Strengths
- WiFi-based indoor positioning on top of the c3nav website
- Location sharing with other attendees
- Distributed through Play Store, GitHub and its own F-Droid repository
Limitations
- Mostly a wrapper around the c3nav website
- Only useful at events and venues mapped in c3nav
