About Carbon Copy Cloner

Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC) is backup and copying software for macOS. It can restore a single file, copy one folder to another, recover a whole Mac or migrate data to a new one. Backups can run hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or when changes are detected. They can be paused and limited to certain days or hours.

Filter rules control what is included, and CCC shows how much data a backup will copy. It also takes snapshots, can back up cloud-only files, encrypts backups and verifies them. The current version is CCC 7.
