About Cloudflare WARP
WARP sends your device's traffic to the nearest Cloudflare location over a WireGuard-based protocol, which stops your internet provider and the cafe wifi from seeing what you are doing. On a well-peered connection it often makes browsing faster rather than slower, which is unusual for a tunnel.
It is not a VPN in the sense of changing your apparent country, and Cloudflare sees your traffic instead of your provider. A 1.1.1.1 mode encrypts only DNS. The paid WARP+ adds Cloudflare's optimised routing, and the same client doubles as the endpoint agent for Cloudflare's corporate Zero Trust product.
