About CommandBox
CommandBox is a standalone command-line tool for Windows, Mac and Linux aimed at ColdFusion (CFML) developers. It provides an interactive shell, a REPL, application scaffolding and an embedded CFML server for running applications locally.
It also works as a package manager connected to ForgeBox, a community repository for sharing modules. Every command has built-in help. Commands can be typed in its own shell or run through the box binary from the system shell, so builds and deployments can be scripted.
Strengths
- Embedded CFML server for running apps locally
- Package management through ForgeBox
- Built-in help for every command
- Builds bundled with a Java runtime are available
