DevSpace is a lightweight CLI that uses your current kube-context, like kubectl or helm, and needs nothing installed in the cluster. devspace deploy builds images and deploys with helm or kubectl, while devspace dev watches your files and updates running containers as you code.
Other commands stream logs, open terminals in containers and initialize a project for Kubernetes, and devspace ui opens a local web interface. Images can be built in parallel with Docker, kaniko or custom commands. It suits developers who work against any Kubernetes cluster.
Strengths

- Hot reloading of containers while you code
- Works with any Kubernetes cluster via the current kube-context
- Local web UI for logs and terminals
