About DragonFly BSD
DragonFly BSD is a Unix-like operating system that grew out of FreeBSD 4. It uses its own HAMMER2 filesystem, and the 6.4 series adds NVMM support for type-2 hypervisors, an amdgpu driver and experimental remote mounting of HAMMER2 volumes.
Third-party software comes through DPorts, which is based on the FreeBSD ports tree. The current 6.4.2 point release fixes the installer, IPv6 and programs that create many subprocesses. It suits people who want to run or study an alternative BSD on a server or workstation.
