About Everything
Everything indexes the names of every file and folder on NTFS volumes and shows matches as you type. It is small, starts quickly and uses the NTFS change journal to keep its index current, so results are effectively instant even with millions of files. Search syntax supports wildcards, regular expressions, sizes, dates and content search.
It is freeware for Windows with no ads and no data collection, and it runs entirely offline. The source code is not published, so it is listed as proprietary. A portable build and a command-line companion, ES, are available from the same site.
