About Flashpoint Archive
Flashpoint Archive is a community project, started in December 2017, that preserves games, animations and interactive experiences from the web. It has saved over 200,000 items across more than a hundred web technologies, including Flash, Shockwave and HTML5.
The software package includes a launcher for browsing and playing the collection, a proxy that makes games behave as if they were on the live internet, and a sandbox for playing plugin-based content securely. These components are open source. The project runs as a non-profit through Open Collective Europe.
