About GNU Guix
GNU Guix is a package manager for GNU/Linux systems and also a complete distribution, Guix System. Users on the same machine can manage their own packages independently without superuser privileges. Thousands of packages, from desktop environments to programming languages, can be combined into reproducible shell environments, containers and whole systems that can be rebuilt the same way later.
Packages and full system configurations are defined with Guile Scheme APIs. As a GNU Project, Guix and every package it provides are free software. It suits developers, researchers and administrators who need reproducible environments.
