About GoldenCheetah

GoldenCheetah downloads ride data directly from devices such as Garmin units, SRM PowerControl and PowerTap, and imports files from other manufacturers' software and programs like TrainingPeaks WKO+. It then offers a wide set of analysis tools, from BikeScore to pedal force versus pedal velocity plots.

The project's aim is that athletes can keep their power data on their own computer and analyse it however they like. Version 3.8 is the current stable release, with builds for Windows, Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and a Linux AppImage.

Strengths

  • Reads data directly from many power meters and bike computers
  • Extensive power analysis tools
  • Data stays on your own computer
  • Builds for Windows, macOS and Linux

Limitations

  • Interface is dense for newcomers
  • Aimed mainly at cyclists and triathletes
