About GPU-Z

GPU-Z is the graphics card equivalent of CPU-Z, from TechPowerUp. It identifies NVIDIA, AMD, ATI and Intel graphics devices and reports adapter, GPU and display information, default, overclock and boost clocks, and detailed memory subsystem information including size, type, speed and bus width.

Two features make it more than an identifier. It includes a GPU load test that verifies the PCI Express lane configuration, which is how you catch a card running at x4 in an x16 slot, and it can back up your card's BIOS to a file. Results can be validated and submitted to a public database.

It needs no installation and runs on everything from Windows XP to 11, 32-bit and 64-bit. TechPowerUp states the software only makes network requests to www.gpu-z.com over HTTPS.
