About Home Assistant Cloud
Home Assistant Cloud is an optional service for people who already run Home Assistant. It lets you reach your instance from a phone while away from home, with data encrypted between your device and your Home Assistant instance. It also connects Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, or offers Nabu Casa's own voice technology as a private alternative.
The service backs up your Home Assistant setup to a server and can restore the full system on first boot of new hardware. It is run by the team behind Home Assistant, and subscriptions help fund its development.
