ImageSnap captures a still image from an iSight camera or another video source. It can list connected video devices, select a device, save an image to a specified filename, and capture a series of images for a timelapse.
The current Swift version uses Apple's AVFoundation APIs. It can be built with Xcode or Swift, and macOS may ask for camera access the first time it runs.
