About k0s
k0s packages an entire certified Kubernetes distribution into a single binary with no host operating system dependencies, so a control plane or worker starts from one file. It targets bare metal, on-premises servers, edge sites and IoT devices, and can isolate the control plane from workloads.
Strengths
- No host dependencies beyond the kernel, so it installs the same way on any distribution
Limitations
- Smaller ecosystem and fewer third-party guides than k3s or kubeadm
