About Laravel Herd
Laravel Herd sets up a local PHP development environment in one install. It uses native binaries for PHP, nginx and other services rather than containers or virtual machines, and lets you switch between PHP versions from its menu.
Herd also puts Composer, the Laravel installer and Expose on your command line, so sites can be managed from PowerShell or through its site wizard. The core app is free; Herd Pro adds services such as MySQL and Redis, a mail catcher, dumps and a log viewer.
