About linkding

linkding is a bookmarking service you host yourself, designed to be minimal, fast and easy to set up with Docker. The interface is optimised for readability rather than for showing you a wall of thumbnails, and it fetches titles, descriptions and icons of bookmarked sites automatically.

Organisation is by tags, with bulk editing, Markdown notes and a read-it-later mode. It can archive a bookmarked page as a local HTML file or on the Internet Archive, so the content survives the site going away.

It imports and exports in Netscape HTML format, so moving in from a browser or out to something else is easy. There are Firefox and Chrome extensions and a bookmarklet, SSO through OIDC or an authentication proxy, a REST API, and it installs as a progressive web app.
