About MacWhisper
MacWhisper turns recordings of meetings, lectures, interviews and other audio into text. Transcription runs locally on the Mac using OpenAI's Whisper models, with Qwen and Nvidia Parakeet models also available.
It can recognise different speakers through NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Diarization, so a conversation can be split by who is talking. It suits people who transcribe often and would rather not upload recordings to a cloud service. The app is sold through a Gumroad store page rather than an app website.
