About MicroK8s
MicroK8s installs a conformant Kubernetes cluster from a snap package and enables extras such as DNS, the dashboard, storage, ingress and GPU support through single add-on commands. It supports autonomous high-availability clustering once three or more nodes join.
Strengths
- Add-ons turn common cluster components on with one command
- Clusters of three or more nodes gain high availability automatically
Limitations
- Installation is tied to snap, which is awkward on distributions that do not ship it
- Add-on versions track Canonical's choices rather than upstream release timing
