About Mockbin
Mockbin lets you set a status code, headers and body and get an endpoint URL that returns that response, then inspect every request sent to it from the bin's detail page. You can also upload an OpenAPI 3.x document in JSON or YAML and it will generate a mock from the schemas and examples.
No sign-up is needed, and bin IDs are kept only in your browser's local storage. It suits front-end developers and anyone testing a client or webhook integration against an API that does not exist yet.
Strengths
- Custom status, headers and body for a mock endpoint
- Generates mocks from an OpenAPI 3.x document
- Request inspection for each bin
- No account; recent bins stored locally in the browser
Limitations
- Fixed responses rather than programmable logic
- Losing browser storage loses the list of your bins
