About MXToolbox Blacklist Check
The MXToolbox blacklist check tests a mail server IP address or domain against more than 100 DNS-based email blacklists, also called DNSBLs or RBLs. If a server is listed, some of the mail it sends may not be delivered, so this is a common first step when outgoing mail goes missing.
The site links to an MX Lookup for people who do not know their mail server's address. You can also send an email to a test address instead of entering an IP. The full list of blacklists checked is published on the site.
Strengths
- Checks over 100 DNSBLs in one pass
- Accepts an IP address or a domain
- Published list of the blacklists checked
- Can also test by sending an email
Limitations
- Covers fewer lists than some dedicated multi-RBL tools
- Shows listings but does not remove them
