About Navidrome
Navidrome indexes a folder of music and serves it over a web interface and the Subsonic API. That API is the point: dozens of existing Android and iOS apps already speak it, so you get good mobile clients without the project having to write any.
It is a single Go binary with very low resource use, happily running on a Raspberry Pi. It handles large collections, reads existing tags rather than rewriting them, and understands compilations and multi-disc box sets, which is where most music servers fall over.
