About PDFMathTranslate
PDFMathTranslate translates scientific papers and other PDFs into another language while preserving formulas, charts, tables of contents and annotations, producing bilingual output. It can use a range of translation services, including Google, DeepL, OpenAI and local models through Ollama.
It is available as a command-line tool, a graphical interface, a Docker image and a Zotero integration, and there is a free public online service for trying it without installing. Experimental OCR support was added in 2026. Version 2.0 is developed in a separate repository, PDFMathTranslate-next.
