About Raspberry Pi OS Lite
Raspberry Pi OS Lite is the variant of Raspberry Pi's official operating system that has no desktop environment. The current release is a port of Debian 13 (Trixie) with a 6.18 kernel. It suits servers, network appliances and IoT projects where the board is managed over SSH or a serial console.
It runs on the Pi 3, 4, 5, 400, 500, Zero 2 W and recent Compute Modules. You can write it to a microSD card with Raspberry Pi Imager or download the image directly. The download page also offers torrent files, SHA256 hashes and SBOMs.
