About React Developer Tools
React Developer Tools adds panels to the browser's own developer tools showing the component hierarchy with each component's props, state and hooks, plus a profiler that records render timings and explains why a component re-rendered. It works in Chrome, Firefox and Edge.
Strengths
- Shows why a component re-rendered, not just that it did
- Inspects hooks and context alongside props and state
Limitations
- Production builds hide component names unless source maps are available
