About Shutter
Shutter captures a selected region, the whole desktop, the active monitor on multi-monitor setups, a single window, menus, tooltips or an entire website. Screenshots open in a tabbed interface so you can keep several in view.
A built-in editor lets you apply effects and draw on captures to highlight points, and finished images can be uploaded to an image hosting site from the same window. It is free and open source under the GPL v3 and packaged for many distributions such as Ubuntu.
