About Shutter Encoder
Shutter Encoder is what an FFmpeg interface looks like when it is built for post-production rather than for casual conversion. It transcodes video, audio and images with common and professional codecs including H.264, H.265, ProRes, DNxHR, AV1 and VP9, remuxes containers without re-encoding, and generates or converts image sequences.
The lossless operations are the standout: cut and trim without re-encoding, replace or remove audio tracks, extract and remux streams, and extract or multiplex subtitles. Beyond that it burns in and edits subtitles, does loudness analysis and normalisation, detects black frames and offline media, crops, scales and pads, applies LUTs and colour adjustments, and inserts watermarks.
Workflow features cover batch queues, reusable presets, file renaming rules, metadata inspection, optional FTP upload on completion and EDL export.
