About smee.io
smee.io receives webhook payloads on a channel URL and passes them on to a locally running application using Server-Sent Events, so you do not need to expose localhost to the internet yourself. You point the webhook source at your channel, then run the smee client to forward events.
Apps built with Probot as GitHub Apps can use it by setting an environment variable. It suits anyone developing against GitHub or other webhook sources on a local machine.
