About SMPlayer
SMPlayer wraps the mpv and MPlayer engines in a conventional desktop interface with menus, a playlist and a settings dialog, so you get their format coverage without editing a configuration file. Codecs are built in, so nothing needs a codec pack.
Its signature feature is that it saves your position, audio track, subtitle choice and volume for every file, and restores them next time. It also downloads subtitles from OpenSubtitles and plays YouTube links directly.
