About SnapRAID
SnapRAID computes and stores parity information across a disk array, similar to RAID but without needing matching disk sizes, and can recover data after multiple drive failures. It is commonly paired with MergerFS to pool independent disks into a single NAS-style JBOD array while still allowing each disk to be read directly.
Strengths

Limitations
- Snapshot-based parity means changes since the last sync are not protected
