About SolveSpace
SolveSpace is parametric modelling in a few megabytes. You sketch, apply geometric and dimensional constraints, and the solver works out the geometry; change a dimension later and the model updates. It extrudes, lathes and does boolean operations on solids, and exports STL, STEP and DXF for machining or 3D printing.
It also does assemblies and simple mechanism analysis, and includes a plane and solid geometry engine that is unusually small for what it does. The interface is spartan and the workflow is its own, so the official tutorials are worth an hour before you decide whether it suits you.
