About Standard Notes
Standard Notes encrypts every note end to end before it leaves your device, so the service that syncs them cannot read them. Sync is free and unlimited across devices, which is unusual for an encrypted notes service, and the server code is public so you can run your own in a few steps.
The free tier is deliberately plain text. Rich text, Markdown editors, code editors, spreadsheets, tags nesting, file attachments and note history are part of the paid plan. The project's stated focus is longevity: notes should still open in twenty years.
