About Typora
Typora removes the preview window, the mode switcher and the Markdown syntax characters, showing formatted text as you type. It was the program that made that approach popular, and it remains the most refined implementation of it.
It handles images, headings, lists, tables, code fences, mathematics, diagrams and inline styles, with drag-and-drop image insertion, image resizing with custom zoom factors, and relative path handling aimed at static blog folders. Themes are CSS files, so the appearance is fully customisable.
It was free during a long beta and became paid in 2021: a one-time licence covering three devices, with no subscription. It is closed source.
