About umbrelOS
umbrelOS turns a computer at home into a personal cloud. It installs on most 64-bit Intel and AMD machines, a Raspberry Pi 5 or a virtual machine, and its app store offers over 300 self-hosted apps such as Nextcloud, Jellyfin, Ollama and a Bitcoin node, each installed in one click.
The same system ships on Umbrel's own Home and Pro hardware. Version 2.0 adds photo backup, household accounts and FailSafe storage. It is source-available under the PolyForm Noncommercial licence, free for personal and nonprofit use.
