About Virtual Machine Manager
virt-manager manages virtual machines through libvirt. In practice that means QEMU and KVM, but Xen and libvirt LXC containers work too. It creates machines, edits their hardware, opens a console over SPICE or VNC, takes snapshots and handles storage pools and virtual networks.
It comes with command line tools that do the same jobs without a desktop: virt-install to create machines, virt-clone to duplicate them, and virt-xml to edit their definitions. Because everything goes through libvirt, a machine created here runs on any other libvirt host.
