WhoisCL looks up a domain's WHOIS server based on its top-level domain, then retrieves the record. It supports generic and country-code domains and can use a specified server, a SOCKS proxy or an alternate server list.
The command-line output can be used for domain research or scripts. It requires an internet connection and supports WHOIS servers on port 43.
