About WifiHistoryView

WifiHistoryView reads the WLAN-AutoConfig event log of Windows and lists every time the computer connected to, disconnected from or failed to connect to a wireless network. Each entry shows the time, SSID, profile name, adapter, access point BSSID, PHY type, encryption, disconnect reason and connection duration.

It can read the log of the running system, an event log file from another computer, or a remote computer when you have administrator access. Results can be filtered, copied to a spreadsheet or exported from the GUI or command line.

Strengths

  • Shows connect, disconnect and failure events with reasons
  • Reads local, external or remote event logs
  • Can read older records from shadow copies
  • Export to CSV, HTML, XML or text

Limitations

  • Only as complete as the Windows event log it reads
  • Remote access requires administrator rights
  • Supports Windows Vista to Windows 11 only
