About Wiki.js
Wiki.js runs on Node.js and stores pages in a database while optionally mirroring them to Git, so content stays readable outside the application. It offers several editors including Markdown and a visual one, granular permissions, many authentication back ends and full-text search.
Strengths
- Optional Git storage keeps every page as a plain file in a repository
- Many authentication providers and fine-grained page permissions
Limitations
- Version 3 has been in development for years while 2.x remains the stable line
