Xidel downloads web pages or reads local files and extracts data with CSS selectors, XPath, XQuery, JSONiq, or pattern matching. It can follow links, submit forms, make HTTP requests, and output data as XML, HTML, JSON, or shell variables.
The project provides binaries for Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android. The latest official release listed on its site is 0.9.8; development builds are also published irregularly.
