About Zorin OS Lite
Zorin OS Lite is the lightweight edition of Zorin OS. It uses the Xfce desktop environment with Zorin OS-specific features and optimisations, which suits older computers that struggle with the standard editions. Zorin publishes Lite in the Zorin OS 17 and Zorin OS 18 release series and commits to supporting and maintaining it until at least June 2029.
Zorin plans to stop developing Lite as an official edition from Zorin OS 19 onwards and recommends that users eventually move to the Core, Pro or Education editions. Stock Xfce will still be installable from the official repositories, but without the Zorin-specific additions.
