Best for: Tracking and updating Android apps straight from developer release pages

Free and open source (GPLv3)

Free and open source

• Works with or without Google Play Services or microG
• Anonymous login option in addition to a personal Google account
• Device and locale spoofing to access geo-locked apps
• Exodus Privacy and Plexus integration to show trackers and compatibility

• Supports many sources including GitHub, GitLab, Forgejo/Codeberg, F-Droid, IzzyOnDroid, SourceHut and direct APK links
• Crowdsourced app configurations available at apps.obtainium.imranr.dev
• F-Droid build is reproducible and bit-for-bit identical to the developer's release

• Cannot download or update paid apps or apps using Play Asset Delivery
• Uses a reverse engineered Play Store API that Google-side changes may break
• Anonymous token dispenser is not fully reliable and several features need a personal login

• Some sources rely on web scraping that can break when a website's design changes
• Requires Android 8.0 or newer
