Free and open source under Apache 2.0, with no account required. AI features use your own…

Windows, macOS, Linux Windows, macOS, Linux
  • Built-in multiplexing of panes, tabs and windows, including to remote hosts over SSH
  • Lua configuration, so one file follows you across Linux, macOS and Windows
  • SSH sessions survive network interruptions and Wave restarts, reconnecting on their own
  • Edit remote files in a real graphical editor without leaving the terminal
  • A spare-time project maintained largely by one person
  • Lua config is powerful but a steeper start than a settings dialog
  • Electron-based, so heavier than a plain terminal emulator
  • The block workspace is a different mental model from tabs and panes
