Amazon DCV streams remote desktops and individual applications from a cloud instance or a data center to client machines. Its streaming protocol adapts to available bandwidth, aiming to stay responsive without lowering image accuracy, so heavy graphical applications can run on a powerful remote machine while users work from simpler computers.
It is used for remote visualization in high-performance computing and also underpins AWS services such as Amazon WorkSpaces Applications. There is no additional charge for running it on Amazon EC2. A web client SDK is also available for building browser-based access.
