About Basemark Web 3.0
Basemark Web 3.0 is a browser benchmark that runs directly in the page. It is split into three suites. The Core Suite covers array, bitwise and built-in object work. The Graphics Suite covers WebGL 1.0.2, WebGL 2.0, shader pipeline, draw-call and geometry stress, Canvas and SVG. The Generic Suite covers jQuery, AngularJS, Backbone.js, crunch and DOM tests.
You can run all suites or pick one, add conformance and battery tests, and save results publicly or privately to compare in Powerboard. A demo mode runs the graphics tests in fullscreen. A desktop launcher is offered for more detailed results.
Strengths
- Covers WebGL, Canvas, SVG, DOM and JavaScript work in one run
- Individual suites and tests can be selected
- Optional battery test for mobile devices
- Results can be compared in Powerboard
Limitations
- Other tabs and browsers must be closed for reliable scores
- More detailed results require the desktop launcher
- Generic Suite tests older frameworks such as AngularJS and Backbone.js
