About Blue Recorder

Blue Recorder is a small screen recorder written in Rust and based on the older Green Recorder. It uses GTK4 for its interface and FFmpeg for encoding, and records both video and audio from the desktop.

It runs on Windows and on most Linux and FreeBSD desktops, including Wayland sessions on GNOME and KDE. Output formats include avi, gif, mkv and mp4. The repository also contains Flatpak and Snap packaging. It suits people who want a basic recorder rather than a full streaming studio.
