About Capto
Capto records the screen at 60 FPS with audio, takes screenshots, and includes editing tools for both videos and images before you share them. It is aimed at tutorials, classes and demo videos, and has a page for educators.
The current version, 2.1.4 from January 2026, requires macOS 10.14 or later and is optimised for macOS 26; older builds remain available for macOS 10.10 to 10.13. A 15-day trial is sent by email, and a Windows version is listed in the Microsoft Store.
