About Cline
Cline is an AI coding agent that reads a codebase, answers questions about it and makes coordinated changes across many files. It has separate Plan and Act modes, supports MCP integrations and is not tied to a single model provider. It runs as a VS Code extension, a CLI for scripts, cron jobs and CI pipelines, and a desktop app for macOS and Windows that needs no editor.
